It's hard to get in the groove of boy stuff. I grew up with all girls. I have 3 sisters and most of my cousins are girls. I do have a brother who is 13 years younger then me. It's still hard to think about raising a little boy. THAT IS WHY I HAVE MY HUBS. HE'S ALLLLLL BOY!!

5 Things I've Learned In My First 24 Weeks
I have learned so much in the first 24 weeks of my pregnancy. I thought I would give a list of the Top 5 things I've learned so far.
1. Morning Sickness Waits for NO ONE!!!
* I was very lucky to only have morning sickness for about a day and half ( I also had a double ear infection which made it worse) but I had a little nausea for a couple of weeks. When I did have morning sickness it would come out of no where. I did find that eating something when I felt nauseous eased that feeling off for a little while.
2. TakeYour Prenatal Vitamin At Night
* I started taking my Prenatal Vitamins when I got up in the morning. I found that my nausea was worse when I did that. I read somewhere (webMD) online that if you feel like your vitamin is making you nausea worse then try taking them at night.I started doing that and it worked for me.
3. House Work Is Still There?!?!?
*I feel like as soon as I finish cleaning my house it's dirty again....I have found that I can't spend all day cleaning like I did before I got pregnant. By the end of the day my back is hurting and I can't move. My suggestion ( this works for me) is take one room a day. It won't take such a huge toll on your body.
4. Indigestion Will Come With Vengeance!
* No matter what I eat or don't eat I have had HORRIBLE Indigestion/Acid Reflux. It got to the point where I couldn't eat ( I actually lost weight the first couple of months). Finally over Thanksgiving I couldn't deal with it anymore. I made the hubs stop at CVS. I ran in and grabbed some Zantac 150mgs. It was almost instant relief. Now I take one in the morning and one at night if needed. (Zantac is on the list my Dr gave me of medication that is ok to take while pregnant)
5. You Might As Well Move Into The Bathroom!
* I have found myself having to go. I go then 5 mins later I'm back in the bathroom having to go again. I feel like I spend most of my day in there!
I have learned many other things in these 24 weeks....this is just a few of them :)

This Pup...
This pup has followed me from room to room today.... Then whined the whole time I was in the shower
Oh how I love her!
Where do we start?
THE NURSERY??
This is the back spare room.Currently the home of our old bed, Halloween decorations, Christmas decorations and a door (that our lovely Black lab decided to snack on while we were gone to Bonnaroo last summer) ...This room is the future home of the baby nursery.....we have a lot of work to do before May gets here!!
Where to start????
A Theme???
I don't want to go with a generic theme....something EVERYONE else is doing. I'm also not a real big fan of the Monkey themes, sports themes or anything like that...and that is one thing the hubs and I agree on.
Green & Gray, Little Man Cave..maybe both........

What?!?!?! No Way!?!?!?!
There is such a special sweetness in being able to participate in creation.
~Pamela S. Nadav
The day I found out I was having a baby was probably the best day ever (other then my wedding day).
It was Wednesday, August 28 and I had been working all day..... I felt strange for most of the day... like butterflies in my stomach.... I still had a couple of days before that time of the month and being pregnant was the farthest thing from my mind....
After I left work I still felt weird. I had a moment when I thought..Could I be??? NOOOO!!! Well to make sure I stopped at the CVS Pharmacy on the way home to buy test.
I bought the Clear Blue Pregnancy Test- Mainly because it's advertised to show accurate results before your missed cycle.
When I got home..I let my puppies outside to play and I went straight to the bathroom.....
I took the test... Sat it on the side of the tub and washed my hands....you are supposed to let it sit there for a couple of minutes before the results show.... Well as soon as I turned around.... I saw it....
A plus sign!!!!!
A plus sign!!!!!
Hmmmmm I may have done a little happy dance........
Soooooo.... On to my next task..... How to tell the hubs..... It was already later in the evening and I didn't have time to run to the store before the hubs got home.......what to do... what to do....I really couldn't do anything like.. Put a bun in the oven and ask him to open the oven
( I don't think he would have gotten the hint).
After the hubs got home ... I acted normal..... We watched our Wednesday night tv and did our normal nightly routine.
I got in the bed and he showered.... while he was in the shower... I took a picture of the pregnancy test on my phone.... I thought about texting it to him but you never know when he'd check his phone...... I waited for him to get out..... He got in the bed and we talked for a little while....
I looked at him and smiled really big..... He said.... What?.... I then grabbed my phone and asked.... Do you want to see this really cool picture I took today..... He said ..... Sure.......
I brought the picture up and handed him my phone.....
He looked at it. He cocked his head and had a look of confusion on his face.... I just sat there and waited for him to figure it out.
When it clicked... He looked at me and asked... Are you serious???! Hmmmm yeah!!!!
We're having a baby!!!
Omg were having a baby!!
Those two phrases came out of our mouths about 20 times for the next hour.
It was a great day :)!!!
We were both very excited and scared at the same time..... But I couldn't imagine not being pregnant right now
( the pack of pregnancy test came with two test.... I took the 2nd one the following weekend after my missed cycle--- just to make sure)

My Saturday
What happened to the weekends when you could sleep in past noon?? LONG GONE!!!! I can't sleep past 8 AM anymore. No matter how hard I try it just doesn't happen....even if i do manage to sleep past 8 AM by 8:30 the pups are ready to get up!
So anyways...this morning after we got up..the hubs made breakfast..yum yum...sausage,egg & toast...that is probably one of my favorite things about our weekends...BREAKFAST :)
I spent the rest of the day cleaning and organizing!! I guess you could say I'm nesting a little...but my base boards, laundry and windows are clean in most of the house....tomorrow will be another day of cleaning..that is if i can move tomorrow
I am very happy that my hubs wants to help...he doesn't clean much but he will do laundry every now and then....TODAY he helped and folded a couple of loads.....I am very lucky to have my hubs :)

the hubs & his craftiness
The hubs and I had been looking for a king size bed for months!!! We really need the room...mainly because I'm a crazy sleeper and we have 3 pups who love to lay in the bed with us....until we put them up at night...a queen size was just not cutting it!
So one day the hubs decided he was going to build us a bed...hmmmm...ok?!? I have faith!!... he then spent the majority of the day sending me pictures of different beds...we decided on this one.... which we found on this website DIY FURNITURE - great website!!-- We will probably use it for other bedroom furniture....
This was a Friday....I had already had plans to go to South Carolina for the weekend ( my home state) to visit family...I would not be here for the awesome adventure of my hubs craftiness....
Over the weekend I received so many pictures of the bed.....I was very impressed....THE HUBS IS CRAFTY!!!!
I
When I got home we tried many different stains ---- but decided on the Jacobean stain....it looks a little dark in the picture.....but once it dried it lightened up
WELL.......it sat in our guest room for 5 months because we didn't have a king size mattress....WHAT!!...... sooooo 5 months later.....DECEMBER! we finally were given a mattress...THANK YOU!!!
It takes up way more space in our little master bedroom then we thought....but it is well worth it!!
I am absolutely in LOVE with our new bedding.....it's a Threshold Brand down comforter and a Threshold Brand duvet cover--- which came from TARGET--- of course everything cute comes from Target right????!!!!!
